Missing your "Auto" buttons?

One of the great parts of Bridge CS2 was how you had the auto buttons by each fader in the RAW adjustments window.  It was wonderful to create presets with different combinations of auto settings to quickly go through your RAW images.

With CS3, in Bridge you get even more controls, "Recovery," "Fill Light,"  as well as a vibrance control, however Adobe got rid of the auto boxes to many people's dismay.  They allow you to do an auto EVERYTHING mode, but not choose the individual controls which you'd like Bridge to correct automatically.

There is a go around however!  If you simply double cick the fader for each control it will set that individual fader to it's auto setting.  You can also save (and later apply) presets this way as well.

So sit back and enjoy allowing CS3 Bridge to do more work for you!

If you haven't already checked 'em out, definietly look at David Jay's Brilliant Settings for Adobe Bridge and LIghtroom.  These are a great set of presets that will help you go through and edit your images even more quickly.  He's got tons of great tutorials on how to use both his presets and auto settings in general to speed up your workflow, so be sure to check 'em out.  (He's also got a killer sale going on as well, so this is a great time to pick it up).

Enjoy!!

I love you! Thank you for this tip!!! Sooooo Sweet! Great hanging at lunch today too! You da man!

Stumbled upon this wrong information. Chris I think you have a typo here. Double clicking sets the slider to default.

For individual auto settings you have to !shift! double click. ;)
