Meredith and Graham...finally together. :)
Well, iPhones aren't the only cool thing going on lately with us! :)
We've had so much happening and I have to get caught up blogging! We've had some very cool speaking opportunities come up that Katie and I are so excited about, we spent time shooting with an awesome family, and we had what was honestly one of the most fun weddings that Katie and I have been to all year!
This weekend started off with a great rehearsal and dinner. I always encourage our couples to sign up to have us cover the rehearsal and dinner for a few reasons. One, it's a great chance for us to get to know the couple's families and close friends, as well as some of the other important people who will be there the next day. Rehearsals are also generally a little less stressful than the wedding day with less going on, so we catch so many great, light moments that happen and will be so fun to look back on later.
There were some great moments at Meredith and Graham's reharsal. Check it out!
I loved this moment between the two mom's interacting! It's so fun to see the two families really coming together!
Graham, goofing off with his boys during the rehearsal.

This was a great moment as Meredith and Graham rehearsed at the altar.
The dinner later that evening was at Opal on State Street in Santa Barbara. A great spot!
Meredith's Dad giving a toast, with a little nice off-camera lighting. :)
I loved that I could get 5 wine glasses in the same shot during this toast! :)
Meredith got ready at her home in Santa Barabra which gave us great lighting and atmosphere. I really love when couples get ready at their own home. It really lets you into their own world a bit which is fun.
Graham. What a stud! Sorry ladies...obviously no longer available. :)
I love finding ways to use "bad" lighting (there's no such thing in my world, but that's a different topic), and make it cool.
I always enjoy finding new ways to shoot something that I see all the time such as string instruments. The stark colors and contrast really helps the image pop.
There's always so much emotion when a dad walks his daughter down the aisle. Finding great ways to capture and frame it is always fun.
After Graham and Meredith walked back up the aisle after the ceremony, he gave her this big hug which seemed to really capture and bring full circle the whole of their journey up until the wedding. Their story involved a lot of patience and they waited many years to be married. This hug seemed to really signify that this period of waiting in their relationship was over and that they were really moving into the next phase - SO exciting for all of us there to witness and be a part of!
Loved using the back alley behind the Church actually to get a cool shot!
I stole Meredith and Graham for a few minutes during the reception and walked across the street to the beach to take advantage of the great light that was happening and captured these images of them.
Thanks so much Graham and Meredith for inviting us to be a part of what was truly a spectacular wedding. You both are beautiful people, inside and out, and we were honored to spend the day with you guys! :)
